Red Flashing LED + High Battery Temp While Charging
If the app shows «abnormal» status and a high battery temperature warning while charging, especially at a low charge percentage (e.g. 8%): (1) Disconnect the charger immediately. (2) Move the robot away from flammable materials. (3) Allow to cool to room temperature. (4) Do not attempt to charge again. Contact Aiper support — this may indicate a faulty battery cell that poses a safety risk.
Yellow/Amber Flashing Light During Charging
If the LED blinks yellow/amber (not red) while charging: (1) Disconnect the charger and wait 30 seconds. (2) Check the charging port for moisture or debris — dry and clean if needed. (3) Reconnect the charger. If the light turns solid red, charging has resumed normally — a yellow blink on initial plug-in is often just the battery management system (BMS) calibrating. (4) If the yellow light persists beyond 2–3 minutes and never turns red, the charger or battery may be faulty. Try a different outlet first. If the issue continues across multiple outlets, contact Aiper support with a video of the LED behavior. Note: A beeping sound during charging accompanied by yellow flashing typically means the charger and battery are not communicating correctly — unplug, clean the port contacts with a dry cloth, and retry.
Common Error Codes
E1: Drive motor issue — check rollers for debris; rinse and restart. E2: Filter/pump blockage — remove and clean the basket. E3: Sensor error — restart and allow initialization to complete. E4: Battery or charging error — see above. For E1–E3: power cycle first. If the error returns immediately on restart, submit a support ticket with the error code and serial number.
Won’t Power On — Troubleshooting
If your Scuba N1 won’t turn on at all: (1) Check the charger first. Plug the charger into the wall alone — the LED on the charger brick should be green. If not, the charger is faulty, not the robot. (2) Check charging contact. Connect the charger to the N1 — the charger LED should turn red to indicate charging. If it stays green, the robot is not making electrical contact. Clean the charging pins on both the robot and charger with isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab. (3) Let it charge. A fully depleted battery may need 15–20 minutes on the charger before the robot will respond to the power button. (4) Hard restart. Press and hold the power button for 10+ seconds. Release, wait 5 seconds, then press the power button normally for 2 seconds. (5) Check for physical damage. Inspect the charging port for bent pins or corrosion. If the unit has been submerged in saltwater without rinsing, corrosion on the charging contacts is a common cause. If none of these steps work, and the charger tests good on another Scuba unit, the internal battery or power board may be defective — submit a warranty claim.
Factory Reset Procedure
Hold the power button for 10 seconds until the LED flashes three times. Release. The N1 restarts with all Wi-Fi credentials, schedules, and preferences cleared. Re-add the device to the Aiper app from scratch. Perform a factory reset as a last resort for persistent errors or Wi-Fi issues that do not resolve with a standard power cycle.
Warranty Coverage
The Scuba N1 carries a 2-year warranty with no registration required. For battery issues within the warranty period, contact Aiper support via aiper.com/us/process-a-warranty with: serial number, purchase date, description of the issue, and any error codes displayed. Battery defects (red flash, high temp, rapid capacity loss) are covered.
Cuándo dejar de solucionar problemas y presentar una reclamación de garantía
Some battery symptoms are hardware defects that cannot be resolved with home troubleshooting. Stop and contact support if: (1) The yellow/amber flashing light persists beyond 3–5 minutes after trying a different outlet — this indicates a BMS (Battery Management System) fault, not a calibration issue. (2) The robot beeps continuously while charging and never transitions to a solid charging indicator — the charger-to-battery communication has failed. (3) The battery drains from full to empty in under 30 minutes of runtime — this is rapid capacity loss, a known defect in some early N1 units. (4) The LED shows no response at all after 30+ minutes on a confirmed-working charger. For all these scenarios, submit a warranty claim at aiper.com/us/process-a-warranty. Include: serial number, purchase date, a description of which symptom you are experiencing, and a video if possible. The N1 has a 2-year warranty — battery defects are fully covered.
