The Scuba S3 relies on ToF (Time-of-Flight) sensors for detección de obstáculos and avoidance. If the robot repeatedly bumps into walls, steps, or other obstacles, the most common cause is a dirty lente del sensor. Wipe all lente del sensores gently with a soft, dry paño de microfibra — do not use water, detergent, or abrasive materials. If cleaning does not restore normal avoidance behaviour, the módulo del sensor may have a fallo de hardware requiring servicio postventa.
Cómo limpiar los lentes del sensor ToF
Locate the sensor ToF lenses on the robot body — they are small, round, dark-coloured windows, typically positioned on the front and sides. Use a clean, dry paño de microfibra (the kind used for eyeglasses or lente de la cámaraes). Gently wipe each lens in a circular motion. No use water, glass cleaner, or any solvent — these can leave residue that degrades sensor performance.
Comportamiento normal vs. defectuoso de evasión
With clean sensors, the S3 should slow down and change direction when approaching a wall, step, or large obstacle within a short distance from the obstacle. It may not avoid very small objects — the sensor ToF has a minimum detection threshold. If the robot collides at full speed with large, obvious obstacles despite clean sensors, the ToF module may be faulty.
Cuándo contactar al soporte
If cleaning all lente del sensores does not restore normal evasión de obstáculos, the sensor ToF module may have a fallo de hardware. Contact soporte postventa de Aiper with your device número de serie (SN) and a description of the behaviour (e.g., ‘robot hits the same wall repeatedly at full speed’). Video footage of the collision behaviour is helpful for diagnosis. No intente disassemble the sensor housing — esto anula la garantía.
