Replacement filter baskets for the Scuba S1 are not listed on the Aiper website as a direct-purchase
Replacement filter baskets for the Scuba S1 are not listed on the Aiper website as a direct-purchase item. To order one, submit a support ticket via aiper.com/us/process-a-warranty with your serial number — the team will process it within 24–72 hours.
Two Filter Types: Which Do You Have?
The Scuba S1 ships with a standard 180 μm fine filter basket as the default filtration. An optional upgrade is the 3-micron micromesh ultra-fine filter, which captures fine algae, sunscreen, and micro-debris invisible to the standard mesh. The 3-micron filter is sold separately and must also be ordered through a support ticket, not the website storefront.
How to Order a Replacement Filter Basket
Step 1: Visit aiper.com/us/process-a-warranty. Step 2: Submit a ticket with your name, serial number (S/N on the bottom of the robot), order number, email, shipping address, and phone number. Step 3: Aiper will confirm availability and send a purchase confirmation within 24–72 hours. Note: as of early 2026, supply is limited — the team is restocking high-demand parts.
When to Replace the Filter Basket
Replace the filter basket if: (1) the mesh is visibly torn or has holes; (2) suction noticeably drops even after rinsing; (3) the flip-top hinge on the basket snaps (a common wear point after 12+ months of use). Under normal use with weekly cleaning, the 180 μm basket typically lasts 12–18 months.
Routine Filter Cleaning (vs. Replacement)
After each use: remove the filter basket and rinse under a garden hose, directing water against the flow direction to push debris out. Monthly deep clean: soak in a diluted pool-enzyme cleaner for 30 minutes, rinse thoroughly, and air-dry before reinstalling. Never use high-pressure washing as it can deform the mesh.
3-Micron Micromesh Filter — When to Use It
If your pool has recurring algae, fine silt, or sunscreen film that the standard filter doesn’t capture, the 3-micron micromesh filter is the upgrade to request. It runs alongside the standard basket as a secondary stage. Expect slightly reduced water flow and shorter per-cycle runtime when the ultra-fine filter is installed — clean it every 1–2 cycles.
