Performance characteristics & replacement guidance
The S1’s 3-micron filter captures sand, algae spores, and pet dander — 10× finer than a standard 30-micron basket. Clean after every 2–3 sessions; replace every 3–6 months (genuine part FILTER-S1-3M, cross-compatible 2024–2026).
Why 3 microns matters
Pool water contains particles as small as 1 micron — algae spores, mineral crystals, and organic micro-debris. A standard 30-micron basket is effectively transparent to these particles, allowing them to recirculate freely.
The 3-micron micromesh intercepts these fine particles on the first pass, significantly reducing waterborne turbidity and lowering the chemical load required to maintain sanitiser effectiveness throughout the pool.
Filter maintenance schedule
- After every session Visually inspect for large debris and empty if full.
- Every 2–3 sessions Remove and rinse under tap water for 60 seconds to dislodge trapped fines.
- Every 3–6 months Replace with a new FILTER-S1-3M — approximately every 30 rinses.
Recognising a filter past its service life
A degraded filter compromises both water clarity and the robot’s cleaning efficiency. Watch for these telltale signs:
