How to Clean the Filter Basket
Remove the basket after each session. Rinse under a garden hose, directing water against the mesh flow direction to push trapped debris out. For fine algae or sunscreen film: soak in a diluted enzyme pool cleaner for 15–20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Air-dry before reinstalling. Never use a pressure washer.
When to Replace
Replace the basket when: the mesh is visibly torn; the basket frame is cracked; the latch no longer clicks securely into position; or cleaning performance drops noticeably even after thorough rinsing.
Basket Not Seated Correctly
The basket must click firmly into position before use. An unseated basket causes debris to bypass the filter and exit through the top water jets, which is a common complaint. After reinstalling, give the basket a firm push until you feel it click. Test with a quick power-on outside the pool to verify the intake draws air correctly.
