Charge fully, then power on and complete Wi-Fi pairing within 5 minutes of turning the device on. If the Wi-Fi indicator goes off before pairing completes, hold the power button for 5 seconds to re-enter Wi-Fi setup mode. Bluetooth must be enabled on your phone during pairing.
What the Surfer S2 Does
The Surfer S2 (also sold as EcoSurfer S2) is a robotic surface skimmer — it floats on the water surface and collects leaves, pollen, insects, sunscreen film, and other floating debris. It does not clean the pool floor or walls. For bottom cleaning, pair it with a Scuba series robot.
Charging Before First Use
Charge the Surfer S2 fully using the included cable (model GQ12-126100-HU) before the first use. The LED will show solid green when fully charged. Avoid using third-party cables with different current ratings.
Wi-Fi Pairing: 5-Minute Window
Power on the Surfer S2. The device enters Wi-Fi setup mode immediately — you have 5 minutes to complete pairing. Open the Aiper app, tap +, select Surfer S2, enable Bluetooth on your phone, and enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi password. Keep the device within 1–2 meters of your phone during pairing.
Wi-Fi Setup Mode Expired? How to Re-Activate
If the Wi-Fi indicator light turns off before pairing is complete, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. The device re-enters Wi-Fi setup mode for another 5-minute window. If still unable to pair, hold the power button for 10 seconds to fully reset Wi-Fi credentials, then try the full pairing flow again.
Placing the Skimmer in the Pool
Place the Surfer S2 on the water surface at the center of the pool. Ensure the pool pump is running at normal flow — the skimmer uses pool water circulation to assist its movement. Remove large floating obstacles (toys, inflatables) before use. Do not place in pools with strong water jets aimed at the surface.
