The Surfer S1 requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth-enabled phone for initial pairing.
The Surfer S1 requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth-enabled phone for initial pairing. Complete setup within the 5-minute Wi-Fi window after powering on. Hold power 10 seconds to reset Wi-Fi if needed.
2.4 GHz Only
The S1 cannot connect to 5 GHz. An “incorrect password” error almost always means you selected the 5 GHz band. Enable and use the 2.4 GHz band on your router. For dual-band routers with one SSID: split into separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz SSIDs.
Pairing Steps
1. Power on Surfer S1 — Wi-Fi indicator flashes (5-minute window). 2. Open Aiper app → tap + → select Surfer S1. 3. Bluetooth must be on. 4. Enter 2.4 GHz SSID and password. 5. Keep device within 1–2 m of phone. 6. Solid green LED = connected.
Re-Activate Wi-Fi Setup Mode
If the 5-minute window expires: hold power button 5 seconds to re-enter setup mode. To clear wrong credentials: hold power button 10 seconds to factory reset Wi-Fi.
Adapter Charging LED — Diagnose a Charging Problem
The charging adapter has its own LED: Green (adapter plugged in, not connected to robot) = adapter is working. Red (adapter connected to robot) = charging in progress. Green (adapter connected to robot) = fully charged. If the LED stays green when connected to the robot (does not change to red), the charging port on the robot or the adapter cable pins may be damaged — submit a support ticket.
