The Scuba V3 is a floor-only robotic pool cleaner. Wall and waterline climbing are not supported features. How to enable Gentle Ramp mode
Open the Aiper app → Scuba V3 → Settings → Cleaning Mode → enable ‘Gentle Ramp’. This reduces drive torque at the slope transition to prevent the robot from bouncing off the waterline repeatedly. Requires firmware v2.3+.
How to check your firmware version
In the Aiper app → Scuba V3 → Device Info → Firmware Version. If below v2.3, tap ‘Check for Updates’ to install the latest build over Bluetooth (requires the robot to be on the pool deck, not submerged).
For Wall Climbing: Consider the Scuba X1
The X1 uses different filter and brush-roll accessories to the V3 — parts are not cross-compatible. Factor in accessory costs when comparing upgrade pricing.
