Scuba V3 Schedule Not Executing on Time

Scheduled cleaning not executing on time is almost always caused by outdated firmware. Open the Aiper app, connect to your Scuba V3, and check for an OTA firmware update — install the latest version immediately. After updating, delete all existing schedules and create a fresh one (test with a simple single-day schedule first). Also ensure your phone is set to automatic date and time — a clock offset between your phone and the robot will cause schedule timing errors. If the issue persists, collect the device SN, a screenshot of the schedule screen, and the actual robot start time, then upload diagnostic logs and contact Aiper support.
Step 1: Check for Firmware Updates
This is overwhelmingly the most common fix. Scheduled cleaning not executing on time is almost always a firmware-level issue. Open the Aiper app, connect to your Scuba V3, and look for an OTA firmware update notification on the device page. Install the latest firmware if available, then verify the schedule works by setting a test schedule 5 minutes in the future and observing whether the robot starts.
Step 2: Delete and Re-create the Schedule
Sometimes a corrupted schedule entry persists even after a firmware update. In the Aiper app, go to the device page, find the Schedule or Timer section, delete all existing schedules, and create a fresh one. Set a simple, single-day schedule first (e.g., tomorrow at a specific time) rather than a complex multi-day recurring schedule. If the simple schedule works, you can then rebuild your full weekly programme.
Time Zone and Device Clock Sync
In rare cases, a mismatch between your phone’s clock and the robot’s internal clock can cause schedule timing errors. The V3 synchronises its clock with your phone when a schedule is set via Bluetooth. As a precaution, ensure your phone is set to automatic date and time (Settings > General > Date & Time on iOS; Settings > System > Date & Time on Android). Re-sync by connecting to the robot in the Aiper app while both devices are on the correct local time. Note: the Excel support knowledge base lists firmware as the primary cause for schedule issues — the clock check is a supplementary step for persistent cases.
When to Escalate
If the firmware is current, the schedule has been deleted and re-created, and your phone’s clock is correct — but the robot still does not start on schedule — collect the following for Aiper support: (1) the device serial number (SN), (2) the exact scheduled time as shown in the app, and (3) the actual time the robot starts (even if it’s hours late). A screenshot of the schedule screen and a photo of the robot’s LED indicator at the scheduled time will help the support team diagnose the clock-drift issue. Upload diagnostic logs via the app before contacting support.
