The N1 Pro adds upgraded suction power and a larger filter basket capacity compared to the base N1.
The N1 Pro adds upgraded suction power and a larger filter basket capacity compared to the base N1. Both models use the same Aiper app, same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and same 2-year warranty. Filter baskets and accessories are interchangeable between N1 and N1 Pro.
Hardware Differences
Scuba N1: Standard suction motor, standard-capacity filter basket, floor mode. Scuba N1 Pro: Higher-output motor for stronger suction, larger-capacity basket for less frequent emptying, same floor-only cleaning coverage. Neither model supports wall climbing — for wall cleaning, the Scuba X1 Pro or V3 is required.
Same App & Software
Both N1 and N1 Pro use the same Aiper app firmware and the same 2025 Scuba S1 & N1 App Operation Guide. Schedule features, eco settings, and Wi-Fi setup are identical. Any app-based troubleshooting steps apply to both variants.
N1 Pro “Picks Up Nothing” Known Issue
A subset of N1 Pro units shipped in early 2025 had a suction path defect where debris was pulled through the impeller but not captured by the basket. Symptom: stuff comes out the top jets, basket comes out clean. If your N1 Pro shows this behavior from new (not caused by clog), it qualifies for a warranty replacement. Contact Aiper support — this issue was escalated to replacement by CS agents without requiring further troubleshooting.
Which Should You Choose?
For pools with fine sand/dust and frequent cleaning: N1 Pro (larger basket, less emptying). For standard pools with moderate leaf/debris load: N1 (more affordable, same coverage). Both models include the same 2-year warranty and filter basket replacement policy.
