Both clean floors, walls, and waterlines. V3 adds AI VisionPath™ and waterline docking; S1 adds quad-motor drive and 3-micron MicroMesh™ filtration
Both the S1 and V3 clean floors, walls, and waterlines. The V3 uses AI-powered VisionPath™ navigation with automatic waterline docking for easy retrieval (up to 180 min runtime, 210 min ECO). The S1 uses WavePath™ navigation with quad-motor drive and 3-micron MicroMesh™ filtration. For AI-smart navigation and easier retrieval, choose the V3. For finer filtration and more powerful drive, choose the S1. Accessories are not cross-compatible between models.
Spec comparison
Wall climbing: S1 = Yes, V3 = Yes. Filter: S1 = 180µm standard + 3µm MicroMesh™, V3 = 180µm standard + 3µm MicroMesh™ option. Drive: S1 = Quad motor, V3 = Dual motor. Navigation: S1 = WavePath™, V3 = VisionPath™ AI + waterline docking. Connectivity: S1 = Wi-Fi + BLE, V3 = Wi-Fi + BLE. Step cleaning: S1 = Yes, V3 = Yes. Monthly search demand: S1 = 55,690, V3 = 1,050.
Which pool types suit which model
V3: In-ground pools up to 1,600 sq ft, all surface types. Best for owners who want AI navigation with automatic debris detection and waterline docking. S1: In-ground pools up to 2,150 sq ft with complex geometry, walls, benches, and steps. Best for owners who prioritize quad-motor drive power and 3-micron MicroMesh™ filtration.
Total cost of ownership
The S1’s 3-micron filter needs more frequent cleaning (every 2–3 sessions vs every 3–4 for the V3 basket) but costs the same to replace. Factor in filter replacement frequency when comparing 3-year TCO.
