Check the filter basket first — a clogged basket reduces suction.
Check the filter basket first — a clogged basket reduces suction. The SE cleans floor only; wall cleaning is not available on this model. If the robot repeatedly covers the same area, restart from the pool center.
Filter Basket Check
A full or clogged basket is the most common cause of poor coverage. Remove the basket after every 2–3 runs, rinse under a hose, and check for tears in the mesh. A torn mesh significantly reduces suction performance.
Robot Circles the Same Area
If the SE repeatedly covers a small zone, its navigation sensors may need recalibration. Fix: remove from pool, hold power button 10 seconds to reset, then place the robot in the center of the pool for the next run. Starting from the center helps the robot map outward evenly.
Stops in the Deep End
The SE cannot be programmed to stop at the shallow end. This is a hardware limitation of the current firmware. Use the retrieval hook included in the box to reach the robot at the deep end. The hook attaches to the cable management loop on top of the robot.
Pool Size & Coverage
The Scuba SE covers pools up to approximately 40–50 m² per cycle. For larger pools, run two consecutive cycles starting from opposite ends. For very large pools (70+ m²), consider the Scuba S1 or X1 for better coverage.
