If the motor does not spin, check for debris wrapped around the propeller and saltwater crystallizat
If the motor does not spin, check for debris wrapped around the propeller and saltwater crystallization on the shaft. Manually rotate the propeller to break any jam, then rinse with fresh water before restarting.
Propeller Jammed
Hair, string, or leaves can wrap tightly around the propeller shaft and stall the motor. Turn off the device. Remove from the water. Carefully pull or cut away any wrapped debris. Manually rotate the propeller by hand to confirm it spins freely. Power on and test before returning to pool.
Saltwater Crystallization
After sessions in saltwater pools, mineral deposits can build up on the propeller shaft and cause jamming. Fix: turn off the device, manually rotate the propeller to break the crust, and rinse the propeller area thoroughly with fresh water. After each saltwater session, rinse the entire unit with fresh water and allow to air-dry before storage.
Motor Runs But No Forward Movement
If the motor spins but the unit does not move: check whether the propeller blade is cracked or missing a section. A damaged blade generates thrust in the wrong direction. Order a replacement propeller blade via support ticket at aiper.com/us/process-a-warranty.
One-Side Motor Failure
If only one propeller is spinning (causing the unit to turn in circles), this indicates a motor failure on the non-spinning side. This is covered under the Surfer S1 warranty. Contact support with the serial number and a short video showing the behavior.
