To factory reset the Scuba V3, hold the power button for 10 seconds until the LED flashes three times. The reset clears all stored Wi-Fi credentials, paired accounts, and cleaning schedules. This is the recommended first step when the robot fails to reconnect to the app or gets stuck in a Bluetooth pairing loop.
When to Use a Factory Reset
Use a factory reset when the Scuba V3 cannot be re-added to the Aiper app after normal troubleshooting, when Bluetooth pairing fails repeatedly, or when the robot remains linked to a previous owner’s account on a used unit. A reset is also helpful after a router replacement that prevents Wi-Fi reconnection.
What the Reset Clears
A factory reset removes: the saved Wi-Fi network name and password, the pairing between the robot and any Aiper account, and all scheduled cleaning programs stored on the device. It does not affect firmware version or hardware calibration. Cleaning history stored in the app is kept — only the on-device data is erased.
After the Reset: Re-adding as a New Device
After the reset, open the Aiper app, tap the + button, and select Scuba V3 as a new device. Enable Bluetooth on your phone during the pairing process. Enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi credentials (the V3 does not support 5 GHz). Wait for the LED to show solid green, confirming a successful connection. Any schedules you had set must be re-created in the app after re-pairing.
LED Confirmation of a Successful Reset
During the 10-second hold: the LED flashes quickly. Release after three distinct flashes — this confirms the reset was accepted. If the LED does not flash three times, try again after fully charging the robot. A low battery can prevent the reset sequence from completing.
