Yes — the Scuba V3 is rated for saltwater pools up to 3% NaCl concentration (standard residential chlorinator output). Rinse with fresh water immediately after each session and dry the charging contacts before storing to prevent corrosion.
Post-session saltwater care routine
1. Remove robot from pool. 2. Rinse entire chassis — including wheel wells, brush roll, and filter cavity — with fresh tap water for 60 seconds. 3. Open the filter access panel and rinse the basket separately. 4. Dry the charging contact pins with a clean cloth. 5. Store in a shaded, dry location.
Charging contact maintenance
Salt crystals can accumulate on the two charging pins on the robot’s rear. If the robot fails to charge, inspect and clean the pins with a dry cotton swab. Do not use abrasive tools.
Seasonal storage in saltwater environments
Before long-term storage (winter), perform the full rinse routine, remove the filter basket, and store separately. Apply a light coat of dielectric grease to the charging pins to prevent oxidation during storage.
